  1.         TURNING THE UNIT ON AND CONTROLLING POSITIONING

  3. The slit-lamp is turned on and off at the 
  4. control mounted below the table on the right side.  
  5.  
  6. The light intensity is controlled by the small 
  7. knob to the right and in front of the joystick.
  8.  
  9. The movement of the slit-lamp biomicroscope 
  10. laterally and in and out is controlled by the 
  11. joystick.  The vertical movement is by twisting 
  12. the the joystick-clockwise to raise and 
  13. counter-clockwise to lower.
  14.  
  15. The unit can be locked so it does not 
  16. move by the small knob on the left side 
  17. of the joystick.  This should be locked 
  18. when not in use so the unit is not 
  19. damaged when it is swung out of the way 
  20. if on the stand or when the table is moved.
